As its name suggests, the Acorn 130 Straight Stairlift is the perfect solution for straight stairs. The comfortable stairlift carriage is mounted onto a single straight rail, which is cut to the precise length for the staircase where it will be located. The Acorn 130 is the direct descendent of the company’s original straight stairlift, built around the same tried and trusted ‘rack and pinion’ technology, but continually refined and improved. Its compact foldaway design makes it perfect for narrow staircases.
RELIABILITY FOR YEARS TO COME
A professionally maintained Acorn Stairlift will give many years of reliable service to its owner. Each new design is tested to a minimum of 25,000 return journeys – that’s equivalent to more than 11 years’ continuous use based on six return journeys per day. Acorn Straight Stairlifts are typically installed in around an hour by a skilled Acorn technician. The discreet single stairlift rail is secured to the stairs, not the wall, avoiding the need for structural work or redecoration.

Acorn’s 130 Straight Stairlift has all the essential features you need in a stairlift. For example, auto-stop safety sensors will bring the stairlift to a gentle halt if they detect any obstruction on the stairs. When not in use the seat, arms and footrest of the stairlift carriage can be neatly folded away so that it doesn’t block the stairs for other users. The maximum user weight of the standard Acorn 130 is 300lbs, but a HD version is available with an uprated capacity of 350lbs.
